Ages 13 to 24 · Life & resilience coaching
Not sure what comes next? That's a good place to start.
Coaching for teens and young adults who feel stuck, stressed, or short on direction. Forward-focused and practical, on their terms.
A place to pause, reset, and move forward
Whether your teen is anxious about school, struggling with motivation, or simply wanting a fresh start, coaching offers a supportive, practical space to work out what they want and how to get there.
It is strengths-based and forward-looking. Nothing needs to be wrong with your teen to benefit; coaching is for building on what is already there. Sessions focus on emotional resilience, self-awareness, and real strategies they can use straight away at school, at home, and with friends.
What coaching helps with
- Confidence and self-worth: recognizing strengths and challenging unhelpful self-talk
- Anxiety, overthinking, and school stress: practical tools for pressure and focus
- Friendships and peer dynamics: communication, boundaries, and social confidence
- Goals and routines: motivation, time management, and habits that reduce overwhelm
- Executive function: organization, planning, and task completion
- Transitions: new school years, exams, and post-secondary plans
What tends to change
- A stronger sense of who they are and what they want
- Healthier relationships at home and at school
- Steadier focus and follow-through on schoolwork
- More motivation, and more ownership of their own plans
- Skills for setting and reaching goals that last beyond the coaching
"Where I, as a parent, just kept piling on options for my graduate, Sandra was able to help my son pare away the detritus and identify his own goals. Judgement free."

Family Coaching, when it's the two of you
Adolescence changes the whole family, not just the teen. Parents want to stay close while teens want distance, and the gap fills with miscommunication.
Family coaching works with you and your teen together: finding practical ways to adapt as needs change, improve communication, and enjoy each other again.

Common questions
Isn't life coaching just for adults?
Not any more. Coaches trained for this age group work with a fast-growing number of teens and young adults, and the approach fits them well: it is practical, collaborative, and aimed at where they want to go rather than what is wrong.
Counselling or coaching, and what if we choose wrong?
You don't have to decide alone, and you can't really choose wrong. The assessment finds the right starting point, and sessions can blend both approaches as your teen's needs become clear.
How often are sessions?
Weekly at first, then spacing out as momentum builds. Programs run from 6 weeks to about 4 months, with sessions of 45 to 60 minutes. Family coaching is usually 4 to 8 weeks.
Online or in person?
Teen coaching is usually online, which most teens prefer: no travel, and the comfort of their own space. In person is available if your teen would rather.
What ages suit coaching?
Ages 13 to 24, from early high school through the first years of adult life.
